          This call for proposals is aimed at Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.           Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities > KWI International Fellowships (Germany)

          The Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities (KWI) in Essen is an interdisciplinary research institute for the humanities and social sciences. The KWI fellowship programme addresses excellent researchers from the humanities, cultural studies, and the social sciences. It is open to international applicants with a completed PhD plus up to six years of post-doctoral experience. Fellowships last six months, running 1 April – 30 September 2021.           Le Port Des Créateurs > Booster Residency (France)

          Le Port Des Créateurs in Toulon, France is offering a Booster residency aimed at emerging artists (national and international) working in the visual arts. It will allow the selected artist to benefit from a period of research and experimentation time, working with their project ‘in situ’. The artist’s residency will last two months, and take place in the last quarter of 2020. Deadline: 31 July 2020.

          Goethe-Institut > Virtual Partner Residencies

          Goethe-Institut has created a new virtual residency programme with a view to maintaining and reinforcing international exchange and collaboration in the music sector. Funding for virtual partner residencies is now available to arrange for international musical collaboration projects. This virtual partner residency programme is for solo artists and small ensembles from Germany and abroad. At least one artist or ensemble based in Germany should be involved in submitted projects. Deadline: 31 December 2020.

          ARAC > ARAC Art & Residency (Romania)

          ARAC Art & Residency aims to introduce international artists and curators to the Romanian cultural environment. During its two-year programme starting in 2020, the project will feature artistic residencies, exhibitions, video & performance focused events and talks. The themes of this year’s residency and of the programme at large, are focused on climate change, migration and technology development. The artistic residency will take place between 3 August – 12 September 2020. It is open to artists of any age, sex, race or nationality, working in any medium of contemporary art.           Warehouse421’s new Homebound Residency Programme aims to support creative practitioners in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region to produce new work and explore digital forms of community engagement in their practices while socially isolating. The Warehouse421 Homebound Residency Program is open to all creative practitioners, including but not limited to visual arts and curation, design and technology, literary arts, music, culinary arts, theatre and performance. 6 residencies will be awarded, running for 3 months September - December 2020.           Babel Music XP International Forum (France)

          The Babel Music XP International Forum will take place at two points: first on 26-27 November 2020 for the preliminary phase with a mixture of round tables, conferences and concerts, then on 25-27 March 2021 with the main Babel Music XP Forum, an international trade fair with professional meetings and a programme of 30 groups selected by an independent jury. Music artists are invited to apply. Deadline: 29 July 2020.

          Pépinières Européennes de Création / Méduse > International Residency for Visual and Media/Digital Arts (Canada)

          Pépinières Européennes de Création and the Quebec Co-operative Méduse are launching a call for applications for two residencies supporting writing, curatorial, research-creation, or production projects in one or more disciplines of the visual and media/digital arts. The residencies will take place January-March 2021 and April-June 2021 in Quebec City. The call is primarily aimed at emerging artists, and artists must hold a citizenship other than Canadian. Deadline (extended): 6 July 2020.

          Jutta Cuny-Franz Award for Artists Making Significant Use of Glass in their Work (Germany)

          Every two years, the Jutta Cuny-Franz Memorial Award is granted to artists who make significant use of glass in their work. In addition to a grant, the winners for the 2021 Awards will be invited to a ceremony in Dusseldorf in spring 2021. Award winners should not be older than 40 years. Deadline: 11 October 2020.

          Skaftfell > Residency for Nordic and Baltic Artists (Iceland)

          Skaftfell Center for Visual Art in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland is offering three two-month residency grants in 2021, courtesy of the Nordic Baltic Mobility Programme. These grants are available for artists from Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and Åland. The available dates are Available dates are: 8 January – 8 March 2021; 1 April – 31 May 2021; and 1 September – 30 October 2021. Deadline: 15 August 2020.
